Policies

We are dog and cat lovers (and owners)! However, even the friendliest and loving pets can become very protective over their owner and their new baby!  During our consult, I may be holding baby and assisting you and your baby hands-on. This can be perceived by your pet as a stranger getting too close.   We kindly request all pets be secured in a separate room for the duration of the in-home consultation.

 If you are feeling sick before your appointment, please notify me so we can discuss and determine if the appointment will need to be rescheduled or if any personal protective equipment will be needed. 

We ask that 24 hours notice be given to all cancelled appointments.  Please note that a $35 fee will be charged for any appointments cancelled less than 24 hours of your scheduled consult. 

Please contact me within 24 hours of your consult if you need to reschedule your appointment.  I realize things come up and I will my best to find a new time slot for you.

During our consultation, a care plan will be developed using the information and assessments done.  I will be available to answer simple questions about the plan through our HIPPA compliant Email and will respond within 6 hours (during office hours).

If further assessments need to be done or if we need to revise the plan -please schedule a follow up lactation consultation.  Sometimes several consults will be needed to make sure your breastfeeding goals are met, and that baby is growing and feeding well!  Most insurance plans cover multiple visits throughout your postpartum period.
