Getting help after you leave the hospital is vital!  Let us come check on you and your new baby in the comfort of your own home.  A full intake and assessment will be done at this visit, and we can address any concerns you may have.  We'll come up with a plan that works for you and your family.  Hand In Hand uses the top-of-the-line scales during our consults!  If a weighted feeding needs to be performed, our scale (Tanita BD-815U) is accurate down to 2g!

We offer ongoing support throughout your breastfeeding journey.  Things change and new challenges may arise!  Painful latch, supply concerns, post tongue tie assessments, introducing bottles, engorgement, going back to work... just to name a few!  

One on one prenatal consultations include education on what to expect at the hospital, latching tips & tricks, normal newborn behavior expectations and a question/answer session.  These consults are tailored to you and your family. We will discuss in advance what topics you'd like me to focus on. Let's get you prepared and feeling confident and supported!  This includes a check-in call with me while in the hospital after baby arrives and priority scheduling for your first postpartum home visit. 

If you are experiencing discomfort or ineffective pumping - you may be using the wrong flange size!  There is new research out showing that most women do not fit the flange sizes that come with your pump.   We can assess how your body responds to several flange sizes and come up with an effective, comfortable fit.
